FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers
Is TRAK CIVIC live in my city today?
No customer deployments are claimed on this site. The platform software is built and running as a demo with licensed stock footage and synthetic data. Connecting real towers and cameras is part of an onboarding project.
Does it use facial recognition or licence-plate reading?
No. There is no facial recognition, biometric identification or plate reading, and the search index contains no person or plate attributes.
Does it predict crime?
No. There is no predictive policing. Forecasts cover traffic volume only.
Who can see camera footage?
Only signed-in users whose role allows it; office viewers see only assigned cameras. Public views exist only after an explicit, delayed, masked publish action.
What does TrakIQ do with my question?
It computes the relevant numbers from records you are allowed to see, then (if an AI key is configured) asks the model only to phrase them with citations. Without a key it gives clearly labelled scripted answers. It never takes actions on its own.
Are reports emailed?
No. Reports stay inside the platform with in-app notifications and PDF/CSV download.
Is weather data live?
Forecasts can be live once a municipality enables a provider (Open-Meteo is supported). Measured sensors are not connected yet. The free Open-Meteo tier is non-commercial; production use needs a commercial plan.
Is Waze for Cities integrated?
Not yet. It is planned through a partnership and is not connected in this build.
Does Trak manufacture the towers or cameras?
No. Towers use commercially available third-party hardware. Trak provides the platform software and the managed service.
Can data from one municipality be seen by another?
No. Every request is scoped to the user’s tenant; cross-tenant attempts are denied and audited, and this is covered by automated tests.
What happens if the network link to a tower goes down?
Towers are specified with local recording so footage can be retrieved after the link returns. Tower health shows the outage.
Can we try it?
Yes — request a demo below. We will walk you through the demo environment with demo footage and synthetic data.
Is CAPITAL CONECTA an official city program?
No. CAPITAL CONECTA is a proposed edition and branding concept; it implies no official endorsement by any municipality.
